Morse Micro, the Sydney‑based fabless semiconductor company pioneering Wi‑Fi HaLow, today announced it has closed a $170M funding round to accelerate mass production of its sub‑GHz connectivity silicon.
The round — one of the largest in Australian semiconductor history — will fund expansion of the company's engineering team, deepen its ecosystem of module partners, and scale volume manufacturing of the MM6108 and next‑generation HaLow SoCs.
Why this raise matters
Wi‑Fi HaLow (802.11ah) operates in the sub‑GHz band, delivering roughly a kilometre of range and multi‑year battery life — a step change for IP cameras, industrial sensing, agriculture and access control that legacy Wi‑Fi can't reach.
